Way the Wind Blows is a short documentary that follows one family’s journey recovering from Colorado’s historic wildfire, the Marshall Fire. On December 30th 2021, with hurricane force winds a wildfire spread quickly through Boulder County, CO in the towns of Superior and Louisville. The Marshall Fire took the lives of two people, over 1,000 pets and consumed over 1,000 homes & structures.

Thank you to all of the first responders and every single person who has helped along the way!

Thank you to Heather and her family for letting us into their lives to share their story! They taught me about resiliency and the importance of maintaining hope in difficult circumstances. It was also a reminder how much us adults can learn from children. This happened to my town and many of my friends lost their pets and homes. This eventually felt like a film I should make.

It’s important to share knowledge and spread awareness on fire safety so including some helpful info. I learned that if your home is on fire, you only have 1-2 minutes to escape and sometimes less.
