Watching your families in videos & photos has been a lot of fun! I love being part of these happy memories by editing them together in a little family movie. Below is a video we made for my Mom, a.k.a Grandma. Happy early Mother’s Day, we love you!

“Just watched again. It was perfect. I loved it. Brought me to tears. I’m forwarding to some friends because it’s so special. That’s the best present a grandma could ask for. No words can express how appreciated it is. Thank you sooooooo much️️️️️️!” - Karen, a.k.a. Grandma

Make someone smile

You can easily give video as a gift!

Most of us are staying home and hopefully safe. It’s a good time to organize your videos & photos. It’s also a good time to turn all of those memories into a video… and give it as a gift!

I think when shit goes down like it has across the whole world, it’s a reminder of what really matters in life - the people you love to surround yourself with, your family & friends.

Editing these family movies and knowing how special they are to you guys, really has brought me a lot of happiness during these crazy & sad days. Video is a powerful tool. We have the ability to make people smile simply by watching a video. Here’s a video I made for a friend, Lindsey from The Mother Chic.

This is a new thing that I’m doing as part of my business. We’re all in this together. Let’s spread some love & happiness through great memories.

Give video as a gift!

Hi friends & fam,

I’ve been making videos since I was little, since before it was a thing. Documenting makes me happy. There is just something magical about video. It also can make a unique gift! I made this video for my son’s 5th birthday! If you’re interested in having your own family movies edited, please see video packages & more info here.

Little Big Heart

It’s shocking what’s happening in the world right now. Hard to accept and believe but hoping we can all come together and stay apart, stay home, & stay safe!

Since you guys are probably home, please take a minute to watch this trailer below, it’s only 1 minute! I hope it brings you a little joy during these difficult times. You can watch more trailers for Little Big Heart here.

Recently I made a short documentary about kids & growing up for a fun side project. My AMAZING friends let me film their hilarious, inspiring, sweet kids and here is the first trailer for LITTLE BIG HEART. Thank you to all of the parents & kids in this little movie!! Also a huge thank you to Greg Brenton for the aerial footage and Sydney Wayser for letting me include her song “Dream It Up”.

Thankful & honored it won Best Children’s Short at the Independent Shorts Awards in March!

REB - Refinishing Everything Beautiful

I’m super happy to let you guys know that I’ll be focusing a lot in the upcoming months on making short videos for local businesses. Here are current video packages offered which includes video & photos! Below is an example of what you would get. This is REB - Refinishing Everything Beautiful specializes in kitchen cabinet and wood furniture refinishing. She’s talented, fun, and will work magic with your home!

I’ve always loved filming entrepreneurs and have over a decade of experience filming entrepreneurs, mostly with Techstars. There is something magical about watching people pursue their love and I love how diverse passions can be. It feels great to be able to help local companies communicate their messages through video. It’s a powerful & fun tool!

Techstars Toolkit

We all want to learn, it’s that simple. Techstars is creating short videos for entrepreneurs and I recently edited several of the trailers for their toolkit.

Techstars Entrepreneur’s Toolkit is an online educational resource to help you learn the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and accelerate your success. They’re all great topics, some I enjoyed watching (and editing the trailers!) include EQ, building a diverse workforce, and get more done.

I edited the trailer below and filmed most of the b-roll.

New Demo Reel

Happy New Year & happy ❤ day!
This is Big Heart Film, my new adventure!

Why Big Heart? I came up with the name before our second son was born and I’m finally making it a reality! I love making videos and it’s that simple. It feels like this was meant to be.

What keeps our world spinning (at 1,000mph!!) besides a bunch of really cool science, is what comes from the heart. I think happiness is key and if I can use video to help inspire and make people smile, that makes me happy. At this moment, I will be taking on just a few projects but am excited for documenting many adventures to come.

Once while driving in a parking lot another car cut me off and it upset me. My son who was about 3 years old at the time asked what happened. I said "Some people are just mean." Then he said "Yea... but some people are nice."

This reminded me that a lot of times kids are smarter than adults. I catch myself trying to teach my kids about good values and being empathetic but am reminded often to just listen. We have a lot we can learn from children. I'd like to continue to help give kids a voice through video.

There are a ton of meaningful stories waiting to be told. So listen to your heart (and also your brain!)

Thank you to my friends & family for your support!

Above is a new 60 second demo. A demo reel is not just a collection of diverse work squeezed into a short amount of time. It’s a video that communicates the types of things I film and what I want to say.

Techstars Studio

Techstars is the worldwide network that helps entrepreneurs succeed… and I love them! I started making videos for Techstars in 2009, you can see more videos here. Techstars is made up of amazing people making a positive impact on the world of entrepreneurship. Below is a video I edited, about half of the footage I shot on Techstars Studio.

Sunflower Farm

Sunflower Farm is located in Longmont, Colorado with lots of different animals to say hi to and fun activities for kids of all ages. Our kids love it there and we do too! It’s really a happy place where kids can explore and have their own little adventures. Below is a video I made for Sunflower Farm, filmed over the course of a few months. If you’re interested in visiting the farm, check out their website to get tickets.

A huge thank you to Hannah Leslie and all of the cute kiddos (and animals) who made cameos!
